VAST

A standard developed by the IAB (Interactive Advertising Bureau). The VAST template is an XML document that gets built in the video player and contains the necessary information for an ad that needs to be presented. The template also includes the URL that is getting called by the video player in order to track the user’s behavior during the interaction with video.
